I find it very strange that someone would be interested in learning more about who I am, where I came from. I tend to be a very private person, going out of my way to guard against letting someone, anyone, know ‘too much’. I even feel a little weird having my photo on the website. So, here goes nothing…

Way back in 2003, I found myself having a lot of time on my hands. During the summer-time, I was a white water rafting guide, and in the winter I worked with the Activity department at a ski resort. Knowing I wanted something more out of my life, I decided to lock myself in my bedroom and learn about web design. Before I knew it I had a web design company, ‘Nealon Web Designs’ – I must admit I put a lot of time into that name. Over the next 10 years, I built Nealon Web Designs into a successful web design and online marketing company, with over 300 very happy clients.

Now, way back in 2011 – I decided a move away from my small town was in order. So, I packed everything I owned into a Uhaul and made the move to Savannah Georgia. While there, I explored the haunted side of the city, as the paranormal has always been a big interest of mine (ghosts DO exist – Bigfoot too). I met two guys who were great tour guides – but horrible business people. I talked them into working for me if I started my own Ghost Tour company. That company is Ghost City Tours, and they now run over 200,000 people per year on their Ghost Tours. I left my position of CEO back in late 2017 to focus solely on GoDo.

I learned a lot about the tour industry, what it takes to succeed, and how easy it is to fail. Many of my friends were/are also in the tour industry – and it really bothered me when I watched them struggle to get people on their tours. These are good people, great people – and all they needed was a little help to become successful. This observation never went away, and it always bothered me…

Over those few years, one thing really jumped out at me. All of the companies I used to sell tickets (You know who you are) really didn’t live up to expectations. Promises of ‘We’ll help you grow your business” never amounted to much. As a matter of fact, at times I felt those companies hurt my business. They were interested in one thing and one thing only – getting new clients. They never took the time to actually HELP. So, I got an idea in my head…

Being that I am an experienced web developer, with an entire adult life’s worth of knowledge on web design, online marketing, etc – I decided that I would start a company which would offer everything that ‘those companies’ offered, but went many steps beyond that to actually help their clients. That is GoDo. You can read about us all over this website, so I won’t waste any more space here…

When I’m not working (ha!) you can find me on my farm (yes, really). A professional introvert, I love activities that allow me to be by myself and recharge. I have a personal library of well over 1,000 books, which I am often surrounded by. I’m lucky enough to have someone who calls me her boyfriend – it isn’t easy finding someone who can deal with me – and two amazing, beautiful daughters. I couldn’t be more proud of them. At the end of the day, they are the real reason for all of this.
